This is the article that appeared in the San Francisco Business Times on 20th May, in conjunction with Splunk's Award for Fastest-growing Tech and Innovation company:
EQALIS recognised that Symantec AV 2009 logs pose a significant problem when trying to teach Splunk how to interpret the timestamps since they are represented in a hexadecimal format.
The new "EQALIS SymantecAV" finds a way around the problem and also provides some nice custom field extractions for the many available fields.
